3Pumpkins is a charitable community-development organisation founded in 2019 with a vision to build a happier and more inclusive society. With its distinct socially-engaged art practices, 3Pumpkins is known for fun and thought-provoking artworks co-creation projects. In community development work, our approach is focused on strengthening self-esteem and social relations through a participatory, site-specific, and multi-disciplinary approach.
3Pumpkins’ flagship project is Tak Takut Kids Club (TTKC), a children’s club with a mission to build a safer and happier environment for children and youth from vulnerable backgrounds. In August 2021, the centre began a 3-year partnership with MSF Comlink@Jurong West to explore how community-based and child-centric interventions could be integrated with the social service landscape to better serve the families in Boon Lay. This effort is multiplied with another partnership with MOH Office of Healthcare Transformation in 2022 to explore social innovations to improve community health. In the long-term, TTKC seeks to replicate this inter-generational and inter-agency support system across different neighbourhoods.
VISION

Changing Paradigms: Address and transform understanding of issues on the ground, co-creating solutions with communities and stakeholders.
VALUES
-
Empathy: Care for human resides as the core value of the organisation. Attentive listening to different wants, needs, and viewpoints allow us to understand complicated human issues and respond compassionately.
-
Collaboration: We believe that there is no one single root to a problem, no one solution that fits all, no one hero who can attend to every one. By recognising and bridging diverse strengths and weaknesses, we evolve together towards a collective goal.
-
Adaptability: Every setting, every moment, and every relationship presents a unique set of opportunities and challenges. Exercising attentiveness and flexibility to respond to changing circumstances acts as a key to identifying and co-creating connections and solutions.
-
Sustainability: The deep work of strengthening human connections requires time and practice for understanding and breakthroughs to happen. Lots of time and practice. The organisation thrives in ensuring creativity and innovation in the way we perceive, identify, utilise and optimise limited resources to sustain the work in a measured manner.
