Board of Directors

BOD Jingzhou.JPG
Lim Jing Zhou

Board Chair and Finance Committee Chair

Jingzhou’s journey in this space started with and continues to be sustained by questions. It started with: “how can I respond to my own privilege?”, evolved into “what and how can I best offer to the people around me?”, and grew to be “there may be some good reasons for things to be the way they are, but when things need to change, how can we get there together?” He settled into the identity of being a community worker, as he could not find another work identity that provided similar kinds of opportunity to grow towards becoming a better human being. While his favourite words are still “how can I help?”; today, his vocabulary has expanded from “help” to “presence”, from “intervention” to “relationship”, and from “joy” to “peace”. He enjoys growing deep human relationships, learning from the realities of daily life, and bringing together people to care and love as a community. As a person with the privilege of choice, he chooses to believe there is good in every person, and works towards creating and holding spaces for the good in humans to come alive and thrive. He is part of the team at the Cassia-Merpati Resettlement Team, and currently serves as the Assistant Director at South Central Community Family Service Centre, where he leads the Home Ownership and Livelihood teams. "I believe in 3Pumpkin's mission to facilitate and build happier living, through social relations and communities of care. It was impossible to say no to joining as a board member as it was one way I could help with the work, and I also wanted to learn about serving through a different capacity."

Fannie Lim

Deputy Chairperson and Nomination Committee Chair

Fannie takes a keen interest in the area of poverty alleviation. In her day job, she works as Director of Community Services at New Life Community Services. She also volunteers for causes that support marginalized communities and keeps herself updated on the social challenges in the region and from time to time, mobilize for community support towards various causes/ communities in need. On the occasion of self-care, she appreciates a solitary session with a "teh c siu dai" (and sometimes a healthy juice) while reading a book. "At TTKC, I was so glad to witness an environment whereby children are safe, organically and actively participating in activities which interest them and hanging out happily with each other, the volunteers and staff alike. The children and youths mattered and were heard in this space. In joining 3Pumpkins, I hope to support Shiyun and the team in the area(s) required to enable them to focus on carrying out this important work of being effective “relational bridge builders' ' and have fun while at it."

Tee Chong Yu

Chong Yu is currently an Audit Partner with HLB Atrede. He is also a trainer on data analytics-related subjects with professional bodies such as Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and previously with Deloitte Learning Solutions. He has co-authored one of the chapters titled “Data Analytics in Audit” in a joint publication by CPA Australia and SMU School of Accountancy, “Embracing Digital Transformation in Accounting and Finance”. Prior to joining HLB Atrede, he was a director with Deloitte, leading a regional Southeast Asia data analytics team in delivering data analytics solutions to both audit and non-audit clients. Before his stint with Deloitte, he was an audit manager with KPMG. Chong Yu holds a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Accounting from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. He is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore, an ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant and a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). "As a parent to 3 young girls, I find 3Pumpkins' work with children, particularly through its TTKC project, to be especially meaningful. In a well-developed country like Singapore, it is easy to forget that there are still children from disadvantaged backgrounds, trying their best to navigate through difficult circumstances in life. Joining the board of 3Pumpkins is just me trying to do a small part to help 3Pumpkins in its endeavour to let these children know that they are not alone, and there is a "good gang" in town who will be their ally, and that is TTKC and 3Pumpkins."

Seok+Lin+KHOO.jpeg
Khoo Seok Lin

HR Committee Chair

Seok Lin is an economist by training. Her career began at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) where she was involved in Singapore’s economic restructuring policy in the late 1980s towards skilled and technology intensive industries and services. She later became EDB’s first Director Human Resources (HR) and Co-Director, Organisation Development (OD). These roles got her interested in understanding what is needed to prepare our people for work and life, in the midst of constant changes in the economic and social environment. To support this, she left the EDB in the late 1990s to contribute to MOE’s “Thinking Schools, Learning Nation” vision, as a trainer and facilitator in leadership and organisation development. She was later invited by the Civil Service College to extend this work to other public sector leaders and middle management. This exposure to other parts of the public service made Seok Lin increasingly curious about what is needed to empower vulnerable communities to get out of the poverty cycle. Unlike many other countries, Singapore is a small. With collaboration between government, people and private sectors, she believes it is possible to identify sustainable approaches to address this area. “I am struck by the thought leadership and holistic child-centric practices in 3Pumpkins that empower children from vulnerable families, as well as address gaps in the social support eco-system. I am excited and inspired by the impact 3Pumpkins’ has made through the Tak Takut Kids’ Club. Being on the Board has broadened and deepened my understanding of the social sector. I hope to contribute meaningfully to its growth and development in this space.”

BOD_Founder_Staff_Shiyun.jpg
Lin Shiyun

Founder & Executive Director

Shiyun has a deep interest in understanding what makes a happy life. By spending most of her time interacting with the community, she enjoys learning the insights of human joy and suffering, and what can be done for people to live more happily. She founded 3Pumpkins to explore how social relations can be transformed and strengthened through socially-engaged arts. Her re-imagination of a village of care for children is materialised in Tak Takut Kids Club (TTKC), a children community club located in Boon Lay that anchors an intergenerational and inter-agency social support system in the neighbourhood.  Shiyun resides in Quantedge Foundation’s Philanthropreneur-in-Residence (PIR) programme that incubates social sector champions to advance social mobility in Singapore. She is also a mother of an 13-year-old child.  "3Pumpkins was founded out of necessity: in order to care for the community, especially the children of Tak Takut Kids Club, in a principled and sustainable way, an honest and robust organisation structure had to be in place to care for the people who care for the community. I am grateful to have the support of many to keep this work going!"

Susan Lim

Member of HR Committee

Susan has over 30 years of experience in Human Resources within the hospitality industry, and if there’s one thing that has stayed constant, it’s her love for connecting with people and making a difference in their lives. She made a bold decision to step away from her corporate career in early 2025, to focus on herself and her family — and finally say “yes” to things she has always wanted to do. That includes cooking, playing with flowers, and finding ways to give back to the community. Susan has always loved being around children and has been looking for opportunities to be part of something meaningful. “I met Shiyun at a corporate event and was truly inspired by her vision and the impactful work being done at 3Pumpkins. Having grown up in a kampung, I can relate to the spirit behind Tak Takut Kids’ Club — creating a safe, welcoming space where children can play, learn, and grow together. There’s something very special about that sense of community. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the HR Committee and to contribute, in my own small way, to this amazing organization as it continues to grow.”

Community Worker,

I joined 3Pumpkins to protect children's right to be goofy and enjoy their childhood. Every child deserves a stable and happy upbringing, but unfortunately, this is not always the case. As a community worker, I am eager to discover and practice more effective child-centric interventions in community space
