我们在家里吃什么

இந்த உணவை தான் நாம் வீட்டில் சாப்பிடுவோம்

Inilah yang kami makan di rumah

Mealtimes at home are not only a time to eat. They are a time spent creating memories together, with knowledge passed down from one generation to the next, where elders and children invest in each other with care. Follow the journey of six young people residing in Boon Lay, as they learn to document their home-cooked food recipes, discover their family history and a rich multicultural community heritage comprising Burmese, Chinese, Malay, and South Indian traditions.

About TIWWEAH

About the project

The efforts of the Tak Takut Kids Club members culminate in an exhibition housed at their community void deck in Boon Lay. Due to the Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) guidelines implemented in mid-May 2021 and for the safety of all visitors, we have closed the exhibition and moved it online. You can hear their stories of self-discovery, view photographs through their own unique perspectives and uncover multicultural recipes to try out on your own.

The endeavour to put together the showcase is especially meaningful as the young creators generally hail from single-parent households or homes with ailing grandparents and busy working parents. In the face of these various challenges, these family units had nonetheless set aside time to come together to safeguard their cultural heritage.

About The Club
